DataArt has opened a unique DeviceHive laboratory in the Kharkiv National University of Radioelectronics. DataArt is considering opening similar laboratories in other high schools located in Kharkiv.
In fall of 2012, DataArt launched the DeviceHive project – an open source cloud-based platform to build solutions for M2M data exchange. It provides tools for the rapid prototyping and design of industrial-grade systems in areas such as
security, green technologies, smart home, remote facility management and logistics.
To educate developers about DeviceHive capabilities, DataArt developed two hardware/firmware test beds. Both allow developers to activate sensors that are connected to interfaces managed by the DeviceHive framework.
In DataArt’s laboratory students during their internships learn about embedded remote control, monitoring and cloud technologies as well create their own systems using these technologies. Students are given a cloud API, an
administrative portal that includes descriptions of communication protocols, so they can build and configure their own M2M network of any topology.
